The holiday of Purim falls this Saturday night with the reading of the Megillah-Scroll of Esther.
A tradition at Shalom House Fine Judaica during this time of year is not only to purchase items such as books, stickers, games and graggers for Mishloach Manot to give to family and friends, but to stop by to taste David’s famous Hamantashen. Hamantashen are filled-pocket cookies in a triangular shape, associated with the holiday.
The holiday of Purim is a time for giving tzedakah to the needy, feasting, celebrating in costume and having parties.
Remember to make it a tradition to stop by Shalom House Fine Judaica on Sunday March 12 for a sweet, delicious hamantashen made by David!

Meet Israeli Copper Artist Ahuva Elany. Visit us on March 8 from 4-6pm to meet this talented artist!
Ahuva discovered the wonders of copper when the need for a candlestick beyond the reach her young daughter’s fingertips arose.
With the remains of some copper in her storage room, left over from her school days at the Bezalel Art Academy, She created a most impressive wall candlestick.
The items are made from thick sheets of copper. The copper is cut by means of a very thin saw that allows for precise and delicate slicing of the sheets. The colors are the natural shades of copper, varying in degree due to special heating and cooling techniques.
Ahuva creates beautiful hamsas, wall tiles, jewelry and home blessings. All her pieces are handmade.
They are the result of tons of love and countless hours of thought, time, energy and effort.
This marvelous selection of artwork offers a wide range of possibilities for gifts for all occasions!
