Each page has two sentences, each with a connection to the number eight and the holiday, such as “two dreidels with four sides—that’s eight,” and “we’ll give eight presents—I can’t wait” while “dad serves eight latkes from the plate.” The reader clearly feels an appreciation of close and loving family relationships. Illustrations are colorful, reader-friendly, and age-appropriate. It is recommended for children ages one to four.
