In Joy and Celebration the wedding couple is wrapped in a talit as a symbol or creating a new life together. A talit is also used as a Chuppah-Wedding Canopy creating a new home together. Its temporary structure and openness recalls the tent of the biblical Abraham who kept his tents open on all sides so that visitors would know they were welcome. The chuppah is also a symbol of God's presence at a wedding and in the home being established under the canopy sanctifying the space below. A special kippah is also worn at the wedding ceremony. At Shalom house we offer a wide array of Tallitot and Kippot made of the finest materials and beautifully designed.
